A Ghost from the Past

You came to me, when I knew it was time
A visit from a ghost from the past
I thought nothing of the warning chime
The visit wasn’t supposed to last

You didn’t scare me, not one bit
I had my walls around me
Your eyes, bottomless dire pits
Lay forgotten pain bare for you to see

Your conniving charm, the echo of your laughter
Dug deftly into my walls
The wind gushed in with the before and after
I barely saved myself from a fall

You grey ghost! You shook my world
You watched as it cracked and tore
You watched hungrily as it whirled
And turned it all on me like before

It may be small, it may be queer
But, this world, this is mine!
Ghost! You don’t belong here
My walls are up, I’ll be fine

Leave! Ghost from the past
My world shall be as before
In here you cannot last
Leave! My world will be shook no more!

Letters to Mr. Heart and Mr. Brain

Dear Mr. Heart,
Yes, you are very dear, you'd know that.Your beat keeps me alive, even otherwise, I wouldn't know what to do without you. I'm very much aware of your ongoing permanent battle with Mr. Brain. There are times when you beat faster to warn me but, I listen to Mr. Brain and wade in anyway.I regret to inform you that Mr. Brain is actually right sometimes. But, most of the time, I can't seem to be able to choose, AT ALL. Those times when you flop and yearn, I know what you're going through but, indecision stops me, prolongs your suffering. I really hate it when I get us into situations where you completely stop. I'm sorry Mr. Heart but, I stop breathing too.
Mostly, I want to avoid situations where you hurt and burn. I feel completely helpless and I don't know how I can help you heal because Mr.Brain can not forget pain that easy.
I love you Mr.Heart; I love me...

Dear Mr.Brain,
Boy, am I glad to have you. I don’t know what I’d do without you. But, I have to say, sometimes, you over think things, a lot of times actually. You unnecessarily get paranoid about imaginary situations and scare Mr. Heart in the process too. You help me out of sticky situations with your quick thinking and I’m sorry that I overwork you out of the blue and then blame you for not remembering things. Your working fascinates me and I don’t understand it completely. Sometimes, I want to tell you to slow down, take a break; because the thoughts fly by so fast that I can’t keep track of them. Thank you very much for dreams. I know that Mr. Heart plays a part in those too. I shall thank him too.
You are right Mr. Brain, I should use you more…..

My First Post

It took me a real long time to start a blog because I didn't know what my first post should contain. I kept turning ideas over and over, and finally, decided to use this poem for my first post. I've written it keeping in mind the fantasy books I grew up on.
[I would like to know what you think the ending means :)]

IT WAS THE LIGHT

It was the light, I open my eyes
Bleary and tired, I blink
My  vision, is of the vast skies
Forcing me to clearly think
Where am I?
It was the leaves’ rustle
That brought all back with a jolt
The guards outside, all the hustle
And the wooden door that had a bolt.
The search, the chase,
Mainly the darkness.
My head I try to raise
I revisit the darkness.
It wasn’t the usual treasure hunt
I wasn’t after gold
I sit up with a grunt
My story has to be told.
What I was after, did not belong
With the men who had it stolen
Nay, the beginning is the song
Which foretold the coming of the Fallen.
An old and powerful race
Defeated by the slaves
The throne now they grace
Having sent the Old ones to their graves
Or so it was thought,
They will return,
That’s what the song taught,
The object of importance being an urn.
My master summoned me
And now he waits upon the shore
Woe be me
The pain, I can’t take it anymore.
The urn had to be found and broken,
Before the feared dawn
And choice words be spoken
On the following morn.
But thwarted as am I
By some who wanted otherwise
The colour rises in the sky,
The guilt, I can not disguise.
Stop! This has to end
Or the world is doomed!
The rules must bend
To stop……to stop, there must be
A Sacrifice!
This hollow in a tree
My prison, will serve me now
A tree tall and wide, like many
What’s that? You wonder how?
This helped, telling the story
Now I take leave goodbye
I’m sorry the end seems gory
This is it, my last glimpse of the sky.
It was the light, I open my eyes
But this just can’t be
My first glimpse is of the sky
And then the book beside me.
